Sheriff's canine brings felon to a halt, resulting in three arrests in incident

Good police work by Sheriff’s deputies with the added bonus of law enforcement canines resulted in the arrest of three Fallbrook men on Sept. 21.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Darryl Kimball reported that while Deputy Frank Leyva was on routine patrol that day at approximately 12:14 p.m. in downtown Fallbrook, he observed a teal-colored Ford Escort being driven by a female subject known to him. Leyva had information that a wanted parolee had recently been in the woman’s vehicle.
