FPUD, employees at impasse over raise

The Fallbrook Public Utility District and the FPUD Employees Association are at an impasse over potential raises for FPUD employees.

The FPUD Employees Association, through City Employees Associates, has filed an unfair labor practice grievance with the Public Employment Relations Board. The grievance claims bad faith bargaining and a unilateral change to the collective bargaining memorandum of understanding.

“The district imposed its proposals when the parties were still engaged in negotiation,” said Brian Niehaus, a labor representative from City Employees Associates.
