FALLBROOK – The Community CleanUp/Recycling Day, sponsored by Keep Fallbrook Clean and Green, held on Sept. 25, was a smashing success, breaking all previous Fallbrook records. The dirt lot at the corner of Peppertree Lane and South Mission was a beehive of activity where more trash was collected, more volunteers participated, more e-waste was recycled, more papers were shredded, and more batteries and tires were turned in than in any prior year.
Final totals included 240 cars that dropped off 34,320 pounds of electrical equipment (17 tons) for recycling with 1800GotJunk, 33 percent more...
