Warrior sticksters fall in overtime in Serra Tournament finals

Fallbrook High School’s field hockey team lost in sudden-victory overtime to La Costa Canyon in the October 2 finals of the Serra Tournament.

“It was a heartbreaker,” said Fallbrook coach Kathy Waite.

The Warriors had won their other five games in the tournament by a combined score of 15-2.

“The girls worked really hard for the tournament and played well together,” Waite said.
