Woman promotes disease awareness in October

TEMECULA - A young Temecula woman hopes to spread awareness about a bladder condition she is experiencing. Kristine Elliott, 24, has a disease called interstital cystitis/painful bladder syndrome – a painful condition caused by inflammation of the tissues in the organ’s wall. The lining around her bladder is nonexistent, which causes it to develop holes.

October is Interstital Cystitis Month. Elliott would like more people to know about the impact and symptoms of the disease.
