On Monday, Oct. 4, kids were released from class at La Paloma School and taken to the front of the school to wait on the grass area, in the rain, to be picked up by their parents.
Kids were wearing shorts, pants, and shirts, but had no coats and no umbrellas. These kids were not provided shelter from the rain, and left out there to stand in the cold weather.
I have asked the school about shelter for the kids on rainy days and been told they “do not have a plan in place.”
