RIVERSIDE - A federal appellate court panel today temporarily suspended an injunction -- issued by a Riverside judge -- barring the U.S. military from continuing its ''Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy'' against open homosexual service.
The three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals granted a Justice Department request to allow the policy to remain in effect while the Obama administration files its appeal of U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips' ruling that Don't Ask, Don't Tell is unconstitutional.
