New library's "green" roof to be installed Monday and Tuesday

FALLBROOK - On Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 25 and 26, the new Fallbrook library, located at 124 S. Mission Rd., will have its living “green roof” installed.

This planted roof, the first of its kind for a county library, was designed and implemented by the design architect, Manuel Oncina, and the architect of record, Ferguson Pape Baldwin Architects.

The landscape vision for Fallbrook library's green roof, covering approximately 3,500 square feet, includes a variety of native plants and species. It will create a living quilt of textures that can be seen from South Mission Road.
