FALLBROOK – Several guests said the recent Art-to-Go fundraising event was enjoyable and a great success. Fallbrook Arts president Marlene Rantanen and vice president Jerri Patchett were pleased with the result as well.
"The event more than met our expectations," said Patchett. Fellow board members said certain elements made the event a success.
"The generous donations by the artists and FAI board members made this unique event possible,” said Robin Erickson and Kay McMurray.
For the event, the Fallbrook School of the Arts foundry was transformed by Dixon Fish, a Fallbrook printmaker. Fish changed the atmosphere of the foundry from its usual industrial look to a festive venue done in black, red and white for the event. A variety of food was provided by FAI board member Helene Ross.
Each ticket provided entry for two guests and one selection from the art pieces displayed. In addition, guests were given the opportunity to participate in a live auction, raffle, and silent auction for other wonderful pieces of art.
The artworks, including sculpture, ceramics, paintings and artisan jewelry, were valued at a minimum of $100 each and some were worth much more.
