Fallbrook's Robert Wall pens historical novel

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook resident and community volunteer Dr. Robert R. Wall has authored a work of historical fiction based on the life of his great-grandfather, Louis H. Wall.

The book, entitled Pilot Mountain, begins with the elder Wall’s induction into the Army of Northern Virginia at age 18 and details his exploits in several of the most horrific battles of the Civil War. It includes the family strife he encounters when he returns home from the war and an ultimate decision he makes that changes his life forever.

“It is a story of family life in the old south and the war that changed the south forever,” said the author.

Wall has studied his family genealogy and the history of his great-grandfather’s regiment in the Civil War, and blended some of that information with fictional scenarios he created to present a novel.

Wall received his Doctor of Psychology from American Pacific University and his Doctor of Philosophy in Hypnotherapy from the American Institute. He is also published in the areas of self-help and poetry.

Published by Outskirts Press Inc., Pilot Mountain is available at http://www.outskirtspress.com/pilotmountain,
