Union paybacks at taxpayer expense

For years local labor unions they have been getting their handpicked candidates elected to local school, water, fire, and municipal districts. Though many voters don’t pay much attention, labor unions have.

In Fallbrook, disgruntled teachers complained about Superintendent Tom Anthony. The Fallbrook teachers union got their three-member slate of candidates elected and were rewarded with a 3-2 vote to give Anthony a $340,000 package, effectively buying his resignation at taxpayer expense.
