Free nutrition workshop for diabetics

ESCONDIDO – A free nutrition workshop for individuals with Type 1 and 2 diabetes (or those diagnosed as pre-diabetic) will be offered on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Advanced Metabolic Care & Research, 700 W. El Norte Parkway, Escondido.

A light breakfast will be served at this event. Information presented will include diabetes essentials, nutrition and meal planning, lifestyle management, reducing the risk of complications and time for questions and answers.

Speaker will be Janice Baker, MBA, RD, CDE, CNSC, registered dietitian and certified educator.
