Fallbrook High School’s varsity boys’ cross-country team placed third among the 13 schools which fielded full teams at the Southern California Invitational meet Oct. 16 at Guajome Park.
The junior varsity boys finished first as a team while Fallbrook senior Joel Rivera was the individual winner in that race. Fallbrook’s seven varsity runners had an average time of 16:38 on the 5,000-meter (3.1-mile) course.
“I thought we would race really well,” said Fallbrook head coach Marco Arias.
