Kathy Waite, who earned the CIF San Diego Section’s field hockey coach of the year honors for the 2009 season, was recognized for her coach of the year award Oct. 26 at the CIF Board of Managers meeting.
The CIF honored its 2009-10 coach of the year recipients at the beginning of its first 2010-11 Board of Managers meeting, recognizing the coaches’ activities orally while presenting each coach of the year with a CIF San Diego Section watch.
“This is always a great way to start the year,” said CIF commissioner Dennis Ackerman.
The coaches are selected for the honor by the sports’ other coaches....
