FALLBROOK - Authorities are investigating a small explosion inside a mail box outside a Fallbrook home over the weekend.
The explosion, which occurred Sunday afternoon in the 4300 block of La Canada Road, was mostly likely the result of a small acid bomb made using a 16-ounce water bottle, according to San Diego County Sheriff's Sgt. Darryl Kimball.
No one was hurt, he said.
