DAR assisting with genealogy project regarding Bibles

FALLBROOK - Monserate Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, is proud to announce its participation in the California State Society State Regent’s Genealogical Bible Records Project. Since the state has been hard hit by fires and other natural disasters over the past few years; many residents have lost their most valued personal records.

This project will give those who have pre-World War II Bibles that contain family records an opportunity to have those records photocopied, indexed, and submitted to the National Society’s genealogy library in Washington, DC. The information will also be bound and donated to several designated California state libraries. The Bibles are photographed in natural light without using flash equipment.

Anyone interested in having their Bible records preserved as part of this project can contact Beverlee Stuart-Borok at (951) 325-8807 or email [email protected].
