Light rain doesn't stop Thanksgiving Walk/Run

A huge “Thank you” to those who turned out to walk or run in the rain for the November 20 5K Walk to Feed the Hungry. Although our numbers were small, our spirit was strong. Participants helped the Food Pantry keep the doors open for those in need by bringing in a total of $2,400 at this fundraising event.

Congratulations to Juan Carlos Trinidad, a Fallbrook High School student who sent in the winning design for our 2010 T-shirts. Thanks to the event sponsors, to Major Market for their donation of bottled water and to members of the Senior Volunteer Patrol of the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Department who kept walkers safe along the designated route.

The music and gaiety generated by the animal-kissing booth added to the fun. Neighbors young and old enjoyed the opportunity to help others in a special attitude of Thanksgiving. Thank you, all!
