Bomb-making situation in Escondido 'unusual' case, authorities say; Fallbrook residents say they aren't concerned

The recent discovery of what authorities have called the "largest cache of bomb-making materials ever discovered on U.S. soil" in nearby northern Escondido may have had a sobering effect on some local residents, but others say they did not find the situation worth much thought.

"I was not concerned about it in the least," said Fallbrook resident Tom Conley. "[The Escondido 'bomb house'] was a long way from Fallbrook and, it seemed to me, to be a very isolated incident."
