Former Camp Pendleton Marine sentenced to nine years in prison for felony child abuse of infant son

Former Camp Pendleton Marine James Lewis Charles, 31, who dropped and shook his infant son, causing irreversible damage to the child's right eye and brain injuries, has been sentenced to nine years in prison. Charles pleaded guilty to felony child abuse in October.
