Fire training on Camp Pendleton Thurs. Jan. 6

FALLBROOK - Area residents should be aware that a fire training exercise will be taking place on Camp Pendleton on Thurs. Jan. 6.

The Camp Pendleton Fire Department and North County Area Fire Departments will conduct training at the old base housing units.

The United States Navy has donated the structures for educational purposes to the Camp Pendleton Fire Department, and after completion of training the houses will be demolished. The exercise will give firefighters from Camp Pendleton the opportunity to train with a goal of giving them practical experience in a controlled environment.
