Girls water polo fourth in Rancho Bernardo Invite

Fallbrook High School’s girls water polo team opened its 2010-11 season by placing fourth among the 26 teams in the Rancho Bernardo Invitational tournament.

The Warriors won their first three games before losing the semifinal and third-place matches.

Fallbrook opened the tournament – and its 2010-11 season – Dec. 2 at Westview High School’s pool against Mission Bay. The Warriors led 4-0 at halftime and ended the game on the winning end of the 13-4 score.

“It was a very good opener for us,” said Fallbrook coach Bob Lamont. “We were pretty much in control all the way through.”
