Johnson defeats Willett for league title

The Avocado East League individual tennis tournament saw Fallbrook seniors Hailey Johnson and Jessica Willett meet in the singles finals November 10 at Escondido's Kit Carson Park.

Johnson earned the 2010 league championship with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Willett. "Jessica fought pretty hard, but the power of Hailey was overwhelming," said Fallbrook coach Dave Ramirez.

"It was cool playing Jessica in the finals, having an all-Fallbrook final," Johnson said.
