Brownies donate to animal sanctuary

FALLBROOK – Volunteers with the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary were thrilled when Brownie Girl Scout Troop 4800 came for a visit to see how the sanctuary operates. The troop is comprised of third grade girls from Frazier, La Paloma and Live Oak schools and most have been together for three years.

Each year the Brownies choose a community service project. After their yearly Girl Scout cookie sales, they determine what they would like to do in the community to make a difference. This year this troop selected the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary (FAS) as their community service project.

“We are so pleased and thrilled that these young ladies have put in the time and effort toward our community to make a difference,” said FAS founder and director Janet LuCore. “Their donation provided food for our animals for a week and we thank them.”
