Donations of used pairs of shoes can help lacrosse players

FALLBROOK - Five current Fallbrook High School lacrosse players have just been selected to play this summer with the Starz 395 Elite Black lacrosse team which will be traveling to Sonoma State University July 20 through 23 for the Sonoma State Lacrosse Shoot Out.

The players will have a great opportunity to not only showcase their lacrosse skills in front of top notch college recruits from around the country, but will also be representatives of Fallbrook High School’s lacrosse program.

The Fallbrook players have partnered up with Cash4shooz to fundraise in order to help offset the costs associated with this trip. They will be collecting shoes (in any shape, style, condition) and have set a goal of reaching over 2000 pairs of shoes. All the donor has to do is make sure the shoes are a matching pair. The players will be paid by the pound, so the heavier the shoes the better.

Anyone with used pairs of shoes they would like to donate is encouraged to drop them off at the Fallbrook High School football field on Thursday, June 28, Thursday, July 5; or Thursday, July 12; or at an area set up in the Albertsons parking lot on Friday, July 6 or July 13 from 10 a.m. to noon.
