91-year-old Bonsall woman dies of injuries sustained in car crash

ESCONDIDO (Wire Service) - A 91-year-old woman involved in a North County traffic accident last week died of her injuries in a hospital today, August 14.

Leoniza Corpus of Bonsall was pronounced dead at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido about 1:45 a.m., the Medical Examiner's Office reported.

Corpus suffered the head injuries that led to her death shortly before 6 p.m. Aug. 5, when the driver of the car she was riding in turned directly into the path of another vehicle at Fairview Drive and Gopher Canyon Road in Vista, according to the county agency....
