Angel Society distributes over $11,000 in August

FALLBROOK – A total of $11,150 in donations to Fallbrook schools and other worthy local organizations was approved by the board of directors of the Angel Society of Fallbrook at its August meeting.

The Fallbrook Land Conservancy Trails Council was awarded $4,000 to help cover costs for supplies and rental equipment to work on park projects, repairs on the river trails and the parks. Fifteen miles of fire road were cleared for firefighters and firefighting equipment, helping to keep the trails as safe as possible for the community and the 20,000 people using these parks and trails.

The Fallbrook Sports Association was awarded $2,500 to help towards the completion of their main soccer field’s conversion from natural grass to synthetic turf.

The Reche Community Club’s plumbing system is very old and has been leaking, resulting in tremendously high water bills. They were awarded $2,000 for repairs to their plumbing system.

The Fallbrook Pregnancy Resource Center offers free pregnancy tests, free ultra sound referrals, pregnancy options counseling, and parenting education. They also offer community referrals for health care, housing, legal assistance and counseling, seeing over 1,200 clients annually. This resource center was awarded $1,500 to aid in securing two laptop computers and specific conference tables for training volunteers and

educating clients.

Fallbrook High School girl’s volleyball was awarded $500 to help with their fundraising for a novice team coach, new uniforms, and various other equipment – for varsity, junior varsity, and novice team tournaments.

The Fallbrook Youth Soccer League was awarded $500 in support of their goal to promote the development of youth soccer players.

The Bonsall Women’s Club was awarded $150 to sponsor a tree for their annual Christmas fundraiser.
