Angel Society's December giving benefits children and adults

FALLBROOK – At its December meeting, the board of directors of the Angel Society of Fallbrook approved $12,000 of giving to a wide variety of school programs for children and adults.

The giving of $2,000 each went to the Fallbrook Child Development Center, to help with daily operating expenses; Fallbrook Union High School (FUHS) Band Boosters to help families with the expense of participating; and Palomar College (Student Success) to help Fallbrook and Bonsall students with textbooks, scholarship and emergency needs assistance.

Palomar Family Counseling Service was given $1,500 to help children and families receive needed mental health treatment.

Donations of $1,000 each went to People to People whose volunteers work to fill jobs and develop employment opportunities; and the Mike Choate Early Childhood Education Center for Christmas gifts for the 200 children at the center.

The giving of $500 each went to FUHS Baseball for equipment, uniforms and continued maintenance of the fields; Fallbrook Film Factory to showcase independent films and help provide scholarships to high school seniors pursuing degrees in film or television; TERI for a Bonus Holiday Fund for its staff that provides Training, Education, Research and Innovation, on a daily basis; Warrior Youth Lacrosse Club to help provide uniforms for 50 children between 8 and 14 years of age; and, William Frazier Elementary School Garden Project to provide two planter boxes.
