Angel Society donates funds to non-profits

FALLBROOK – At its May board of directors meeting, the Angel Society of Fallbrook approved donations of $14,000 to non-profit organizations in Fallbrook as follows:

Boys & Girls Clubs of North County – $10,000 to help support their mission to “enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.” This year-round program serves 1,500 children and depends on private donations and volunteers to accomplish its mission.

Fallbrook Gem & Mineral Society – $2,500 to defray a portion of the cost of replacing the carpet throughout its museum. The society introduces people to the world of geology and paleontology. They host many field trip visits from schools, scout troops, and other children’s groups.

Fallbrook Historical Society – $1,500 for carpentry expenses needed to establish a media room in the Barn which will store files, films, videos and donated copies of the Enterprise newspaper that date back to the 1900’s.

The donations are made possible through sales at the Angel Society of Fallbrook’s all-volunteer run thrift shop, the Angel Shop, at 1002 So. Main Ave. For more information, visit
