Color In Motion 5K race benefits Boys & Girls Clubs - Event still in need of volunteers

TEMECULA – Lots of color and lots of people are expected at the Color In Motion 5K Race on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014. The Boys & Girls Clubs of North County in Fallbrook is pleased to announce that they will be a charity partner for this unique race at Galway Downs in Temecula.

Part of the proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County. Boys & Girls Clubs of North County, serving 1,500 kids in the North County area, promote the development of young people by instilling a sense of competence, a sense of usefulness, a sense of belonging and a sense of power or influence.

What is the element of “color” involved in the fun event? A harmless, biodegradable color powder is tossed at runners and walkers during the 5K, and is easy to wash off. If racers want to keep their colorful t-shirts as a memento, there are directions on http://www.ColorInMotion5k.com that tell how it can be done.

All ages are welcome to participate in the event. The Color In Motion 5K is a fun, family event and is structured around an atmosphere of excitement. Avid runners, walkers, and those new to 5K runs are all invited! For registration details and a discount code, visit http://www.bgcnorthcounty.org/special-events/color-in-motion-5k.

Volunteers are still needed for pre-event and event day activities. Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to contact the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County at (760) 728-5871 or by email to [email protected].
