Homicide investigation underway following discovery of body in Fallbrook

The Sheriff's Homicide Unit has launched an investigation following the discovery of a body found yesterday (Thurs., Feb. 18) in the northern end of Fallbrook.

The body was found in the 42400 block of Via Del Gavilan, north of Cinco Arroyos at about 6:30 p.m. last night, Sheriff's Lt. Andrea Arreola reported.

The San Diego Medical Examiner's Office will be determining the cause and manner of death in the case.

No information has been provided yet on the identity of the person found or any findings relating to the crime....
