Scam alert from the Fallbrook Sheriff crime specialist

FALLBROOK – The Sheriff's Department wants to notify all local businesses to be aware of a possible cash handling, sleight of hand scammer that may be active in our area.

The Sheriff's Department advises businesses that if a patron asks to change any large bills (such as 50's or 100's), to have a supervisor join them prior to accepting any bills, and determine if they should proceed.

The person of interest in the recent incident is a black male adult, approximately 50 years old.
