Separating families is not righteous

As I sit here this morning and watch my children dance and sing, I cannot help but feel a deep sadness. My blood and people of Latin decent are suffering at the hands of our government. Our country which has been told to our citizens and world that we are righteous. This is not righteous – to separate families, especially when we know they are looking for a safe haven.

They need our help and we take their children, babies. My son is crying for me now, I am able to reach for him, cradle him, nurse him. My one-year-old baby Mexican American son. As I do this, there are other babies crying for their mommies and daddies and they will continue to cry, because we stole them. Please do all you can to stop these atrocities. Please let us as citizens know what we can do to help these children.
