Braves enjoy perfect season

FALLBROOK – The Potter Jr. High School boys soccer team completed a perfect season with a 2-1 win over Guajome Park Academy at the Vista Sports Park, May 25.

The Braves were down 1-0 before eighth-grader and captain Joshua McBroom tied the score with a goal from outside the 18-yard box just before the first half ended. In the second half, a one-touch volley by Uriel Rocha from just outside the box went past the keeper, sealing the victory for Fallbrook.

Coach Josue Rojas expressed gratitude for his players and the community after the victory.

"I would like to send a big thank you to the players, parents, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of North County for a great season," Rojas said. "I am very grateful and proud to have been a part of this team. I learned so much from this experience personally. To the players, congratulations once again. Keep working hard because talent is nothing without hard work, and opportunity is nothing without preparation."
