FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Pop Warner converged at DICK'S Sporting Goods in Murrieta, July 8, for a Fallbrook Pop Warner discount day.
DICK'S donated close to $2,000 in products, such as footballs, first aid kits, duffel bags and sports water bottles; $500 in cash and $300 in gift cards for the league's end-of-season raffle.
DICK'S came in this season to help Fallbrook Pop Warner fill the basic equipment needs.
"It is a pleasure to help the football leagues in the area to make their budget stretch and to help parents and coaches with their needs," Daniel Coontz, marketing representative for DICK'S Sporting Goods, said.
The Murrieta store allowed all Fallbrook Pop Warner families and coaches to receive 20 percent off all purchases, July 8.
"Football is an expensive sport so every little bit saved helps," Laura Cherevchenko, parent of Junior Pee Wee Team player, said. "I'm thrilled to have such a large chain support our league."
