Rotary treats FUESD employees to lunch

FALLBROOK – On Aug. 9, the Rotary Club of Fallbrook continued their proud tradition of "Service Above Self" by hosting the Fourth Annual Teacher/Support Staff Appreciation BBQ at Ingold Sports Park.

The time for food and fellowship enabled Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) employees to take a brief welcomed break from their preparations for the upcoming school year and the heat to enjoy some good food and great conversations.

Cheeseburgers, potato salad, chips, water and chocolate chip cookies were enjoyed by over 150 people. Rotary Club president Connie Fish and Fallbrook Sports Association Board president Mark Polarek expressed their appreciation of the FUESD employees for their valuable work and service to their students and community. Fallbrook Sports Park, Ace Party Rentals and Grand Tradition donated services in helping to support the success of this event.

What a great way to kick of Rotary's motto for the 2018-2019 year "Be the inspiration." Just being around these teachers and support staff for a few minutes easily reminded everyone how their "passion" impacts and inspires the children.

The FUESD luncheon is part of an ongoing yearly effort by the Rotary Club of Fallbrook to support education and to promote community service. For more information, go to http://www.fallbrookrotary.org.

Anyone interested in learning more about what Rotary does and would like to be their guest for lunch at their Thursday noon meetings held at the Grand Tradition, can contact their membership chair, Dr. Steve Jones, at (760) 694-8688).
