Fallbrook High boys rugby teams in new league

FALLBROOK – Allen Day, president of Fallbrook Youth Rugby, recently announced that the Fallbrook High boys rugby teams are in a new league and in need of a booster club.

"We have exciting news about the upcoming high school rugby season," reported Day. "First, we are now in a new league, the Southern California Interscholastic Rugby Federation (SCIRF). We need to recruit to get solid player numbers up so we can compete in this league on both the varsity and JV levels. Second, we will start a Fallbrook Boys Rugby Booster Club to help with fundraising for the team."

Day added that any non-high school players interested in volunteering for the booster club should contact him at [email protected].

"This will be an exciting year," said Day. "Let's make it a championship year by getting people involved with Warrior rugby on and off the field. We have always had a strong program and following in Fallbrook, but now we need support with forming a booster club, similar to what football has."
