Gas Station Sushi punishes rivals

Gas Station Sushi, a Kentucky-bred filly who spent July and August working out at the San Luis Rey Training Center in Bonsall, scores an easy victory in the $75,000 Beverly J. Lewis Stakes at Los Alamitos Race Course, Sept. 8. Jockey Mario Gutierrez guided Gas Station Sushi to a six-length victory in the six-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies. Trained by Richard Baltas, Gas Station Sushi crossed the wire in an impressive 1:08.54 and paid $4.20 after collecting her third win in four career starts.
