BUSD superintendent to host community meetings

BONSALL – Continuing his commitment to foster better communication throughout the community, Bonsall Unified School District Superintendent David Jones will be hosting a series of community collaborative discussion meetings for residents of the Bonsall Unified School District.

“The purpose of these meetings is to share the current realities, needs and vision of the district with residents, to seek and listen to community feedback, and to collaborate in the interests of educating the children served by the Bonsall Unified School District,” said Jones.

“Similar meetings held earlier this year at the Bonsall Community Center were well-received and I intend to continue this collaborative approach with parents and community members,” continued Jones. “For this next series of meetings I will be out in the community in some of our more heavily-populated neighborhoods. What many people may not know is that the Bonsall school district encompasses 88 square miles of north county, including parts of Fallbrook, Bonsall, Vista, Oceanside, Valley Center and Escondido. It is important that residents of all these communities have an opportunity to hear directly from me.”

BUSD residents are encouraged to attend a community collaborative discussion in their neighborhood. The meeting schedule is as follows: Thursday, Sept. 27, 6 p.m., at Vista Valley Country Club; Tuesday, Oct. 2, 6 p.m., Arrowood Community/Bonsall West Elementary School multi-purpose room; Wednesday, Oct. 3, 6 p.m., Lake Rancho Viejo Clubhouse; and Tuesday, Oct. 9, 6 p.m., Pala administration building.
