Historic schoolhouse and adobe open for tours Sept. 29

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Historical Society is holding its Annual Fall Brook Reche Schoolhouse Open House on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 1-3 p.m. at the beautifully renovated 122-year old schoolhouse at 1319 S. Live Oak Park Road.

In addition to docent-led tours of the school house and grounds, the 95-year old recently reconstructed Hindorff Adobe will be unveiled. The Slacker Hill Band will provide live music, the Fallbrook Quilt Guild is displaying their historic quilts, the Woodcarvers will demonstrate their skills and wares, and vintage cars will be on display.

Refreshments, including ice cream, will be served. A fun-filled and informative afternoon for the entire family is promised and its free.
