Rotary honors students of the month

FALLBROOK – Throughout the school year, the Rotary Club of Fallbrook is recognizing students of the month at a different school in the Fallbrook Elementary School District. For the month of September 2018, students from Mary Fay Pendleton School were recognized.

Mary Fay Pendleton School assistant principal Megan Shinner presented Quinn Soucie and Amelie Hatfield as the Students of the Month to the Rotary Club of Fallbrook at a recent weekly luncheon.

Soucie is a second grade student who is experiencing much success by being proactive in doing his work before play, by playing with fellow students who may not have many friends, and by thinking win-win as to help others and himself be successful. Hatfield is a fourth grade student who has used the 7 habits of effective people to help her have the strength to try new and different activities. She also is proactive by doing her work before doing fun activities

The Student of the Month program is part of an ongoing effort by the Rotary Club of Fallbrook to encourage and reward student excellence and achievement. For more information, see http://www.fallbrookrotary.org.
