World of Watercolor and Beyond opened Feb. 9

FALLBROOK – World of Watercolor & Beyond, the 10th annual Signature American Watermedia International Exhibition & Sale opened with a reception at the Fallbrook Art Center on Feb. 9.

Show winners are:

Best of Show – $2,500 cash award: "Big Birds of Paradise" by Jerry Bowman of Michigan

First place – $2,000 cash award: "Veiled Smile" by Janice Cipriani-Willis of California

Second place – $1,500 cash award: "Kent, West Texas" by John Salminen of Minnesota

Third place – $1,000 cash award: "Autumn Quilt" by Jerry Smith of Indiana.

In addition, Show Juror Soon Y. Warren of Texas selected 21 additional paintings to receive cash and merchandise awards. Total awards given exceeded $15,000.

The show is open daily through April 21, Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sundays, noon-3 p.m. Admission is $6, free to Premier & Friends Level Members, Show Sponsors, and Patrons.
