FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Library will host many free events this month including concerts, a lecture, a movie and a new art exhibit.

Monday, March 11 at 1 p.m. – The Insight Book Club will meet to discuss the novel Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life: Life-Changing Tools for Healthy Relationships by Marshall B. Rosenberg. Sponsored by the Friends of the Fallbrook Library.

Thursday, March 14 at 6 p.m. – Lecture: USMC Women’s Reserve. Barbara Greenbush will present on the importance of the USMC Women’s Reserve as they celebrate their 75th anniversary. Sponsored by the Friends of the Fallbrook Library.

Friday, March 15 at 6 p.m. – Art Reception: Celebrate the new art exhibit Life Doesn't Frighten Me: Hope Inspired Through Art. Meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments.

Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m. – Concert by Willowood Trio includes harp, flute and violin. The Celtic music concert will feature traditional songs of Wales, Scotland, England and Ireland. Sponsored by the Friends of the Fallbrook Library.

Sunday, March 24 at 3 p.m. – Classical Sundays: Finnish musicians, cellist Jussi Makkonen and pianist Nazig Azezian perform an all-Sibelius concert, Sibelius Inspiration. Pre-concert talk is at 2:30 with light refreshments after the concert. Sponsored by the Fallbrook Music Society.

Thursday, March 28 at 1 p.m. – Concert: Freaney & Friends. Bob Freaney will perform works by Beethoven, Brahms, Rachmaninoff, and more. Supported by the Friends of the Fallbrook Library.

Thursday, March 28 at 6 p.m. – Cinema at the Library: This month’s film is about a working-class Italian-American bouncer who becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a tour through the 1960s American South. Winner of the 2019 Academy Award Best Picture.

Sunday, March 31 at 2 p.m. – Concert: Composer and author Maria Kostelas will perform an interactive Literary Concert, "The Gift of the Singing Stick: Through Healing Your Worst Tragedy You Can Discover Your Greatest Gift."
