Zion to open new learning center for 2019-2020

FALLBROOK – Zion Christian School announced its expansion into a center for blended and project-based learning. Zion Christian School and Learning Center will serve students from preschool through grade 12 in the 2019-2020 school year.

The preschool will continue to serve young students and their families with classes for 2- to 4-year-old children, as well as a transitional kindergarten three days a week, and a weekly half-day kindergarten. The new Learning Center will serve students in grades 1-12, the blended learning model was piloted in grades 6-8 this school year.

Zion Christian School continues to serve Fallbrook with reduced fees, providing a nurturing Christian environment, teaching Bible, the love of Jesus and worshipping together. Parents can enroll their child in the online charter school of their choice and Zion’s accredited learning coaches provide guidance and aide as students learn at their own pace. Project-based learning will allow students to solve problems, experiment, explore, work in partnership with others and grow in their greatest areas of interest.

Zion Christian School also offers classes open to the community, studying everything from science projects and experimentation, to cooking, writing, music, photography and more.

Students enrolled in blended learning classes learn personal responsibility and become an active participant in their own education as they schedule classes, attend live-streamed sessions, participate in group discussions both online and face to face with the students in their classroom, and develop relationships with their online teachers as well as the personal on-site learning coaches.
