FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Encore Club recently held its last meeting before the summer break. The new board of directors was installed, the retiring President Sylvia Colton was honored and then everyone turned to a lively auction fundraiser.
The next monthly coffee meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 3. Social time begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by the meeting at 10 a.m. All future meetings will be held at the new venue at the Masonic Center, 203 Rocky Crest Road.
Encore is a social club focusing on friendships, fellowship and varied enjoyable activities. Many of the games, parties and outings include both the men and the women. This summer there will be a few game groups continuing.
The new "GO" activity continues with a trip to the University of California San Diego campus, Aug. 13, for a walking tour of their outdoor artwork. "GO" Catalina Island is planned for Sept. 10 by ferry from Dana Point. Members can sign up to participate at the Sept. 3 meeting. The traditional "End of Year" party was held recently at the Bonsall home of retiring president Sylvia Colton and her son. Members and their guests gathered to enjoy the views, fresh tacos and other treats to fellowship before starting their own summer vacation plans.
