Boys & Girls Clubs of North County Celebrates Grand Opening of new Teen Center

FALLBROOK – The Boys & Girls Clubs of North County celebrated the grand opening of its new Teen Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, June 18. Members of the community, the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce and the club's board members, attended the celebration.

The remodel and new additions to the Teen Center were provided by the North Coast Church of Fallbrook. In March, over 50 members of the church attended their twice yearly day of service and began working on the remodel. Church members added countertops, cabinets, a movable island, bench seating and updated the paint and décor. North Coast Church also provided a gaming center, a new TV and a small kitchen area.

Remodeling the Teen Center is part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County's current revamping of their teen program.

"We are excited to have a fun space for teens to hang out during the summer and after school," Allison Barclay, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County, said. "We wanted a space that feels inviting and North Coast Church of Fallbrook really helped us achieve that vision."

The new Teen Center will be open this summer from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The club welcomed teens in the community to visit the club and check out the new space.
