FAA announces upcoming shows, Gala

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Art Association announced their current and upcoming fall shows and 50th anniversary gala.

The Gallery is hosting the Fallbrook Propane Gas Company's "Honoring our Heroes" fine art show August through September. A children's art show is running simultaneously called "Celebrate America." The public is invited to vote for their favorite art piece in this show. The Gallery is located at 127 N. Main Street in Fallbrook.

The Fallbrook Art Association's 50th anniversary gala celebration and fundraiser will be held Sept. 28, from 3-6 p.m. at Pala Mesa Resort. There will be live music, hors d'oeuvres, a photo booth, silent auction, artwork from local artists available for purchase and a raffle. The community is invited to join the party of the year. Tickets are available now.

The association's 2019 fall open judged fine art show will be held October through November. All artists are welcome to enter. The theme is "Paint Outside Box."

The judge for this show will be Janice Cipriani-Willis, an accomplished watercolorist who lives and works at Dorland Mountain Arts Colony in Temecula. She began her art education by earning a bachelor's degree in fine arts from California State University Los Angeles.

Cipriani-Willis has exhibited and sold her work via the L.A. ArtCore Gallery. Her current work has been inspired by watching people from all walks of life in situations that engender a range of human emotions. She focuses on the depth of expression seen in their faces.
