Warriors win Senior Night water polo game

Senior Night festivities preceded Fallbrook High School's boys' water polo game Oct. 25, against San Dieguito Academy. Fallbrook's 11-9 victory included four goals, one assist, seven steals and three field blocks from the Warriors' seniors.

"All the seniors played well in the game," Fallbrook coach Bill Richardson said.

Seven seniors are on the Fallbrook roster although that includes Joe Moran, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his knee early in the season and has not played since.

The Warriors' victory over San Diego included three goals, an assist and a steal by Jackson Richards. Owen Hearn had one goal, three field blocks and a steal. Cameron Batty obtained two steals against the Mustangs. Derek Enns and Caden McCormies had a steal apiece. Chase Glick also played but did not record any statistics.

The non-league win improved Fallbrook's overall record to 11-16.

"We had some moments in the game where we looked really good," Richardson said.

Fallbrook held a 4-1 lead during the first period, although the score at the end of the quarter was 4-3.

"They came back a little bit," Richardson said.

The halftime score was 8-3.

"In the second quarter we pulled away," Richardson said.

Fallbrook held a 9-7 advantage after three periods.

"They came back," Richardson said.
