Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary needs help

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary – this village's very own refuge for homeless dogs and cats – is struggling with the new reality its crew of volunteers finds itself in.

Forced to close its doors to the public and to limit the number of volunteers taking care of the animals at any one time, the sanctuary is being helped out tremendously by big-hearted Fallbrook residents who have stepped up to provide foster homes for many of the dogs and cats in its care.

These wonderful people have taken in all the small dogs, one large dog and several cats, including pregnant mothers and a venerable 16-year-old.

The remaining dogs and cats at the sanctuary are being cared for by selfless volunteers who continue to devote their time to animals in need.

The volunteers speak for these homeless and helpless dogs and cats when they say they are immensely grateful for the help Fallbrook residents are providing.

However, as grateful as they are for the amazing help they're receiving, times are tough and they are unable to survive without ongoing financial contributions.

They understand that money is tight for many people right now, but they ask everyone to consider making, or maintaining, a donation to FAS. The sanctuary cannot do what it does without everyone's help.

Information on how to foster or to make an appointment to adopt, is available on its Facebook page or at fallbrookanimalsanctuary.org.
