CalFire San Diego reported that it was at the scene of a one-acre vegetation fire near Mesa Rock and Deer Springs roads in the community of Deer Springs, just south of Escondido on Tuesday.
By noon, firefighters reported they had made progress, there are no evacuations associated with the fire and have transitioned to mop-up and containment operations
