Re: 'Are you tired of being lied to?' [Village News, Letter, 10/22/20]

I am writing because I read all Julie Reeder's letters and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Her last letter, “Are you tired of being lied to? The price of liberty is eternal vigilance,” really got to me because I think we are in for a very rough ride on this election no matter who wins.

If you reread my letter in the August 2019 Village News opinion section, it covers what I gathered from all my listening to my news sources of which I have very little time to spend with news as I have a very busy life.

It is as if people do not read your letters or listen to any real news channels. But if they do read them, they don’t believe them because they just hate President Donald Trump so much they ignore it and let the hate take their hearts and fill their minds.

These people who call themselves “journalists” are nothing more than an extension of Hollywood trying to get the next 15 minutes of fame with “shock value.”

Leslie Stall was a disgrace, and I only taped it to see how she’d treat him. I stopped watching “60 Minutes” years ago after they lied about former President George W. Bush and his military career. None of these people even care about the truth.

I don’t know if you saw the interview with Tucker Carlson and Tony Bobulinski recently on Fox News, but it is explosive and every news channel should be running with it, but none of them will as they try to take down Trump and instill a treasonous puppet who is really a Trojan horse for Harris to be the first female president.

If we lose this election, we are done for as a nation. When Trump is reelected, they are going to burn this country down. I pray we keep the Senate, regain the House and with Trump, we can have at least four more wonderful years of prosperity until the next coup attempt.

It’s hard to stay positive when I see so much hate all around me and what a few 10,000 anarchists including Black Lives Matter are accomplishing in this country. It’s not a country I even recognize anymore, and I’m very afraid if Harris wins.

Anyway, everything Julie wrote is spot on and thank you for your true journalism.
